Dang Gui Shao Yao San

 

DGSYS is used in small animals chiefly as a non-dampening Liver Blood tonic in disorders of mild/moderate intensity. Typical signs of Blood deficiency calling for its use may include fine powdery dander, timidity, low grade itch, mild superficial pyoderma, and constipation. Blood deficiency ultimately compromises the Liver's ability to move Qi & Blood. Sign of this stasis include irritability, depression, IBD, hyperlipidemia, uterine bleeding. It adresses the most common cause of Blood deficiency, namely Spleen deficiency, which may be indicated by loose stools, low appetite, and fatigue.
